Dorothy Maureen Stansberry was the oldest of 5 children, born in Michigan but growing up in California. She was born again at an early age and was raised up in a Christian home.

In 1965 her family moved to San Diego where she met and married Robert “Bob” Stansberry. They have two children, Renae and Jason. Bob was called into the ministry at an early age and became the Assistant Pastor at Grace Assembly San Diego in 1977. Maureen joined him in the ministry as both a faithful pastor’s wife and by fulfilling her call to minister in music. She was a very anointed singer and pianist who blessed the assembly with her singing for 46 years. Her heavenly voice has also played a significant role in Assistant Pastor Bob’s ministry and continues to do so. When Maureen sang it was not hard to feel the Holy Spirit surrounding her. She sang with such love and admiration for her Lord Jesus Christ.

Maureen was also faithful to minister the Word of God to all of those she met. The Lord’s unconditional love was always on display through her. She made sure to give everyone she met a warm loving embrace. She never judged, was quick to forgive and always full of love.

Maureen went home to be with the Lord on October 30, 2023. She is survived by her husband Robert Stansberry, her children Renae and Jason and her sisters Cheryl and Tammy.
