History
In 1977, the Lord gifted Grace Assembly with the addition to our ministerial staff of Pastor Robert (Bob) Stansberry and his wife Maureen. Through the years, Grace Assembly has been enriched through Bob’s faithful ministry of God’s Word on Sunday evenings and his wife Maureen’s ministry in music.  Robert (Bob) was born in Santa Ana, California in February 1946 and grew up in Orange County, California until his service to the U.S. Army from 1966 – 1968. He moved to the San Diego area where he met and married Maureen McClain in March 1969.  They were blessed with two children, Renae in 1970 and Jason, in 1974. Bob worked in the construction industry eventually becoming a concrete contractor. Maureen raised her family while working in San Diego School systems as a special educator retiring in 2013.

Spiritual Heritage
Bob  accepted Christ in 1956 and was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1959.  He felt the call of God to minister the Gospel after finishing his military service. In San Diego, he continued ministering with a Christian youth group and with various Pentecostal churches in the area. In 1977, Bob and Maureen  visited Grace Assembly, where his mother attended and was invited to preach.  He continues to receive great insights into the Gospel of  grace and glory as  well as prophecy. He was ordained by Grace Assembly and continues to serve as Assistant Pastor of Grace Assembly. 

Calling to Grace Assembly
Bob ministers under an anointing of the Holy Spirit and has greatly increased in wisdom and knowledge and understanding. Maureen is a pianist and anointed soloist of gospel music. They are loved and appreciated for their faithfulness by the staff and saints of Grace Assembly. Their willingness to serve the Lord has been commendable and has strengthened the ministerial staff.
